Here's the question I have though...
Is it better to go for a 6 link 300dps Harbinger bow, or a 5 linke 350dps lion's with pretty decent stats? OR should I just spend all my chaos and go crazy rolling on my lionseye for an attempt at 6 link? I'm not sure how to figure out what bow is better when it comes to these stats, it's extremely confusing. :( |

@shiftedaura
nah 300dps wont beat lioneyes. i have 410PDPS+75EDPS= 485DPS bow still lioneyes win. so i kept in stash lol. |

"\ I'm at a loss then. I'm doing the damage, but my survive ability is rip. |

hello all! can someone clarify how "curse on hit" support gem works? it seems many are using it on their links but i don't understand how it works.
Will this work? Curse on hit + Assasins mark curse? or Curse on hit + enfeeble curse? So everytime i hit a mob/boss, it automatically applies curse on them? How does HoI work with CoH? should i max level the CoH gem or at low level? hope someone could clarify it. thanks! Last edited by yammyhihi#4224 on Aug 15, 2017, 10:08:41 PM

" Gear currently:

Following his build 1 skill tree, though I had to get all 3 mana clusters, or I was constantly running out of mana. It fixed mana problem with all 3. Not sure how to link skill tree with out it being a huge URL ~_~ I just recently picked up the bow, and it's helped clear speed a lot, But boss fights are quite rough on the damage output they do. Yeah I could use some more evasion on gear, thats the only thing I see, and more life, but that wouldn't do much unless I got like another 1k or so.. Even then Flasks:

Well act 9 boss no deaths... maybe bow is saving me idk lol, still though Last edited by GIowSticks#7934 on Aug 16, 2017, 9:44:21 AM

" Most of us are doing a different version of the main tree. I would recommend either getting Vitality Void or Soulraker + Lioneye's Gem. " After the buff to Lioneye's Glare, it has to be a really good Harbinger bow to surpass it. I would go for Lioneye's until you have nothing else left to upgrade, then see about getting a crazy good Harbinger bow. Best way to check would be to load your character into Path of Building and see how good of one you would need to surpass your bow. Last edited by zell580#3564 on Aug 16, 2017, 12:04:12 AM

" What maps are you running and what is usually killing you? I would recommend, if you haven't already, to pick up either Vitality Void or Soulraker + Lioneye's Gem for better life leech. If you can post your passive tree we can help out more. If you make your profile public, Path of Building can be used to really see what is going on. " Curse on Hit is a support gem that needs to be linked to an active skill that can hit something and a curse. In this instance we are using Herald of Ice with Elemental Weakness. When Herald of Ice does damage to something, it will curse that mob with the linked curse Elemental Weakness. " You have to also link it to a skill that can hit the monsters. " Levels don't matter for Curse on Hit. It only increases the duration, but everything should be dieing before the curse ends. What is important for Curse on Hit is quality. The curse it applies gains .5% increased effectiveness per 1% quality on the Curse on Hit gem. @GIowSticks For damage pick up a Signal Fire. It makes your damage 100% elemental which scales really well for the elemental damage with attacks gem. Leech gets better and better the more damage you do. Once your damage is high enough, mana shouldn't be an issue. I would pick up some life leech either at Vitality Void or Soulraker + Lioneye's gem. If we could see your passive tree it would help out a lot, or, even better, if you make your characters public, we can import them into Path of Building for a better idea of what's going on. Drop one of the Quicksilver flasks for an Atziri's Promise. I would drop the evasion flask for a Basalt one to help with physical damage. To help with mana issues, I would drop Ice Bite for now. Several pieces have low or no life roll on them. Remember, your passive tree gives ~170% increased life meaning every 10 life points is actually 27. Rings should be good life roll and 2-3 good resist rolls. Boots should be good life roll with good move speed and at least one good resist roll, or two okay resist rolls. I'm trying to follow this guide since it seems to be the most beginner friendly. Is this also viable for all content? or is there some that it cant clear? I'm a first time player by the way
