I am just about to start up my second toon. I am really not sure if the council reach bow is worth it or not. I was hoping to get some expert opinions on it. I currently have a carcas jack or a kitsugi that I would be able to use for my toon as well. Should I move towards buying Reach of the Council or go for Lioneye's.

Hi, I noticed that on your Finished Drillneck Skilltree you path right by Nullification but do not take it.

You take 5% life nodes where pathing is not required, Nullification gives 5% life, and some Evasion and allres to this build.

I popped Chain in but notice little to now difference..

Would honestly just do it.

Look at it this way, it's a 300 pDPS Spine Bow base that, with an ICS gem, is roughly on par with a 300 pDPS Harbinger with below average Master Craft Crit... except you don't have the drawback of GMP damage penalty. Yeah, that's pretty good, and they are steady at a little under 2.5 exa, which you'll make back fairly quickly anyways.

Plans are to be testing LA, not TS. TS kinda garbo right now anyways, not really strong not really weak. And I'm tired of playing it after a two-week race where I spammed the shit out of it and having a Shadow on Standard that I was testing.

So planned links for a generic Harbinger with crafted or inherent Crit would be something like (5L), assuming Crit gear like 2x Diamond Ring, Crit Amulet, and Rat's Nest/Maligaro:




With OR as your 6L, depending on what you're doing and what Ascendancy.

So if you're gonna use a Reach of the Council, all you do is replace GMP (free on bow with no damage penalty) with ICS gem to make a Harbinger look-a-like:



With free GMP from bow as your 6L, and if you 6L the bow then it's a 7L.

So was thinking how I can afford 5L or 6L because I'm poor as shit, well solution is Lioneye's Vision chest. You get a free Level 15 Pierce Gem in there.

Basically, with this chest, which cost 2-3 Chaos, and about 100 Chromes, if you get GGBR or GBBR in the chest using Vorici GB, then you essentially made a fake 6L that cost you nothing. If you push to 5L, then it's insane value compared to the investment of a 6L Reach. Even if the 5th Link is a Red gem, then you use Added Fire instead (GGBRR or GBBRR).

That LA build does seem interesting. I have a ranger up to 36 atm. I ended up buying the bow just before reading your post and for exactly the same reasons you mentioned.

What class/ascendancy will you be going with for your LA build?
