" Initially you 1 arrow that has a 100% pierce chance. It then explodes into projectiles that have a 0% pierce chance (which can of course be raised to 100 with gems / passives / etc.). The appeal of drillneck is that your TS AoE effect pierces which makes it much stronger. I my own experience I would say Drillneck is wastly overrated for TS builds. In fact overall I would say TS is overrated x) Split arrow > TS for AoE. Blast rain > TS for single target. I only use TS on atziri / uber atziri runs. " I cannot inspect your character. Make your characters visible for other people to see. Also hard to give you advice on how to avoid dying, when you do not explain how you die in the first place. Is it melee? Is damage bursts ? Specific map mods? Reflect ? Boss fights? Anyways there are plenty of things you can do better. personally I am not a big fan on curse on hit + Assasin's Mark -> power charges. Damage seems unreliable and not well suited for curse immune maps (which should be around 20% or so). If you like it keep it. I find it horrible. Ice / Chaos Golem is great. You are in softcore so for Ice Golem :) Gem setup: Vaal Haste + Inc. Duration + Blood Rage + Ice golem Herald of Ash + Hatred + Blink Arrow + Faster attacks CWDT + Immortal Call + Inc. Duration (make sure you put those gems in that specific order. Like this: OR another CWDT setup (for CWDT + Ball of lightning / firestorm + curse on hit + enfeeble) OR a 4L ice golem setup with blind :) Notice gem levels on CWDT setup. They should not be leveled that high. Read up on it if you do not know why :) Decide on a single target skill. Good choices: Blast Rain, Puncture and Frenzy (only with a lot of frenzy charges) (Tornado shot is also nice in most situations). OFF - HAND: Level gems you will need later :) Try to get the most bang for the buck from each gear piece: Most importantly: Flasks!!! GET THESE FLASKS: is also nice to have for map clearing. It will take some alterations to roll the right combination but it is worth it. Quiver: Pure damage. No resistance. Enchant life. (spike point quiver with crit multiplier > crit chance > weapon elemental damage > life > attack speed > phys damage) Bow: Pure damage. Chest: Evasion > life > resistance (Your current one is just fine - keep that one for a while. Remember 20% quality on it) Boots: Atziri boots = No Rat's Nest or 1,5 shitty rings with lots of resistance on them. If you cannot afford Rat's Nest then keep Atziri boots. The second you can afford it drop them for a rare with Movement speed (at least 25%) > life > resistances Belt: Keep your current one until you can replace it with a belt with same stats, but a rustic sash base. Also remove the enchant once you get Tora to lvl 7 and replace it with weapon elemental damage. Helmet: Rat's Nest when you get rare boots ;) Else you should be able to get one with higher overall resistance fairly cheap. Your current helmet is not terrible but replace it (even if you drop 10-20 hp). If you do not need resistances but cannot afford Rat's Nest try out OR http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Devoto%27s_Devotion (no link. Sorry). Amulet: Crit multi > flat phys > crit chance > life > int / str / all attributes > res Rings: To begin with (which is were your gear is at) Res > Life > int / str / all attributes > damage Passives: Get +30 int / strength nodes or cloth and chain / nullification with all res from passives. This makes it easier for you to drop resistance and stats on gear and thus getting better overall damage and survivability. Later on when your gear gets better you can drop these nodes. Or without speccing into frenzy charges (keep blood rage for attack speed, leech and 3x frenzy charges instead of 6-7) Bandits: help Oak, help Kraityn, kill all (I personally prefer this style but it does require a bit better gear to achieve same clear speed).

Also I took the liberty of placing 2 jewel slots. If your jewels sucks then remove those points. Notice both builds invest into 3 x +30 stat points and a total of +23 all res. If you get the gear you can easily remove these 7 extra points into other goodies :) Last edited by Frankenberry#0590 on Jan 30, 2016, 1:25:44 AM

" Oh thank you very much, i've been using that cluster from Neversinks augmented skill tree. I am planning to use that tree (combined augmented+drillneck tree) with voltaxic + lightning arrow + drillneck quiver. I removed chain gem and put pierce gem instead. As i have noticed testing it (using lioneye 320 dps bow, still too poor for voltaxic) each lightning arrow when 100%+ pierce chance is reached will hit its primary target, do the secondary attack on mobs nearby, primary arrow will pierce hit the second mob, do the secondary attack and repeat it until primary arrow has no more targets to hit, as result it clears groups in 1 cast and i suppose simmilar effect is with chain gem, but i simply like pierce. Going now for voltaxic because i have high life leech, but a single crit with lightning arrow instagibs me (also lioneye says hits cant be evaded) and i want to run lightning theme. Spreading salt since 2006

I have a good rigwalds, is it really better to upgrade to a crit quiver? I feel like forking is so huge.

I was fairly lucky to craft this with relatively few alts/augs/scours. Is this bow worth working on sockets and links for this build?
Thanks, only lvl 44 now but having fun blitzing the content. Bow is ilvl 80 fyi |

thanks

What do u guys think about my gem setups?
Waepon and body armor is primary and secondary attack skill so ill skip this. on helmet i have auras, hatred, hoa/arctic armor (turning hoa when elemental equalibrum or dont need more surviablity) and flame golem for dmg on gloves i have cwdt+id+ic im using too blood rage for attack speed and some frenzy charges (dont have to use single target attack which is frenzy to stack it, what is pretty nice) and using blink arrow as movement skill too The point are links in my boots: there is curse on hit, power charge on crit strike, warlords mark and split arrow. That all givs me pretty nice surviablity, nice dps and 24/7 maximum every charges. This life steal from warlords mark is pretty nice imho. Am i doing something wrong? Are there any better ideas? I will try it, why not :P |

Hi. First of all thanks for the really nice guide.
I already read alot but i am still confused about so many things. Here is my gear. What do you think are the most important changes i have to make?
Spoiler
My full buffed stats with charges (6x Frenzy 3x Power) are sth like 26k TS and 74k Frenzy. So i am really far away from the damage numbers some people do achieve. Is it because i dont have Rat's Nest and Maligaros or is it the Lion Eyes bow? Or just because i dont have a 6-Link? Thanks for your help! P.S. I went with the standard skill tree Last edited by Endwon#2711 on Jan 30, 2016, 10:13:46 AM

" Pretty much everything you said, plus your jewellery is very defensive as well. All in all your whole gear just doesn't provide a lot of damage to be honest. |
