Hi guys,

I'm currently lvl 56 and have a Death harp. Until what level can I still use this bow ? Can a decent decimation bow could be a good boost to continue my leveling ?

I'm nearly starting merciless.

Hello, i've respected into this build on standard and after dying of boredom while trading to buy a 6L amor and fiddling with jewels/belt to get the res needed to wear atziri boots i tried normal Aziri.

The fight went well 0 deaths till aziri, then my game crashed and she killed me once, the rest of the fight was easy. It a bit different than 1.3 At the trio you gotta run in circle for a while kiting them, at atziri...well just dodge :), got hit a few times by flameblast/stormcalls but my luck delivered and spell dodged them :). 2x Vall still easy :D.

I'm lvl 88 with 4.6k life and 32k dmg on tornado and over 50k dmg on frenzy/puncture with 7 frenzy charges.
My crit change is 61% with the ice golem.
Also ran a few 75-77 maps, as long as you kite everything and watch out for reflect you are good to go.
Also follow NeverSinks advice and don't try to upgrade all your gear at once do it piece by piece :)

Do you recommend some other unique instead of Rat's nest? (cheapest one on Warband is 3ex, what the fuck?)
Hey I started your build in the new SC league, i got a little rusty since i havnt played for couple of months, do you think you could give me some infos because i feel your build is semi outdated

1) Gem Setup for Tornadoshot 4L 5L 6L: At the moment i use physprojdamage, faster attacks, critmulti (ony have 4Link atm)
2) Gem Setup for Single Target Frenzy or Puncture? and complete Setup for 4L 5L 6L
3) Golem (havnt played with one yet suggest ice golem is the right choice)
4) Vaal Pact, I feel like its so close to the route its a must take ? (except if you have acuities)
5) Is Abyssus an Option? The Damage should really explode i guess

Since you havnt really posted something on a lot of pages i hope you red this and will give me some help (or any very experienced player with this build)

Its my first bow build i am usually more the dagger guy ;)

Well in my opinion untill getting a Rat's Nest the best way to go is eva helm with as much life as you can get and missing res, Alpha's Howls might me another valid choice for better survival + more auras but this one might be expensive also.

1. They are explained in the 1st post: TS - GMP - PPAD - FA - PTL - WED (if you can't sustaing GMP go with LMP till you can) - they are in order of importance

4. Yes vall pact is a good choice, i currently can live without it, but if you fell you need it take it and sacrifice some crit nodes (life is way to important :) )
5. Abyssus might give you an insane dmg boost but you will become a very thin piece of glass :), i think everthing will one shot you if they hit you.

1) I think you can stik to the suggested order shown on Page 1. You NEED to have GMP in your 4L! That will greatly increase your damage output due to the shotgunning of the second projectiles (yes, they still shotgun. Though technically it's not called shotgunning).
2) See page 1. General rule ( for atziri you want to get max phys dps, whilst for other content you can max dps using e.g. the PhystoLightning+WED combo)
3. Ice Golem
4. I think it's a must take, and use it myself. I even use Life Leech gem a my 6th link in TS setup. Helps a TON with survivability. Content difficulty has been cranked up a bit.
5. Actually Abyssus is a very bad option because the crit multi only applies to melee damage. Rat's nest will give you a better damage boost, while also increasing your survivability.

Getting pots that refill on crit of course being a solution to that, of which i have 1 but even with a crit level of about 40%, it's not filling enough.

Anyways, any suggestions are welcome...

Oh right i also wanted to ask what our protection against reflect is, now that the dodge projectiles node is no longer viable?


Rule number 1 in Path of Exile. Defense over Offense!
So, cap your resists (chaos res not required), and get at least 4k life. I even recommend >4.5k life and Vaal Pact for better survivability. Content difficulty has been cranked up in The Awakening, so you're going to need it.

If anyone can map a better skill path to grab Vaal pact without losing 4 points would be great.


You only need 3 points to grab VP. Start from the 2 nodes that give 30 INT + 30 STR, that's a shorter path, and saves you 1 point. See my tree for reference.

In the current iteration of PoE having anything less than 3500 HP (and that's still VERY low) and capped resists will get you killed in maps. The game got harder for all builds. Physical spikes are very normal now. The bright side is that you can also stack up a lot more damage yourself, without heavy investment into uniques.

Get into the habit of using Evasion gear with HP / resists. I know several players, who play this build right now in new leagues and are doing very VERY fine.

Reflect is a tricky thing. Luckily enough it's way weaker than before. Usually throwing in a jade flask and having some leech on attacks solves the problems. I also recommend running a manual cast enduring cry and a CWDT setup. It'll help you so much.

thanks alot also valy thought it doesnt shotgun anymore so i thought stuff would change a bit, also was confused about wed/phys to l because i felt this was a pretty much phys oriented build (also since leech went down so much you wont leech as much?)

and abyssus was stupid of me lol always played some high phys crit chars melee ofc ;)
