" If your crit rate is low to moderate and you like moving quickly then CoH with Assassin's Mark provides a good damage increase for the extra crit chance. It also helps keep your mana up if you struggle going OOM while spamming TS. Vaal Haste (I'd also put Vaal Grace in the 4 link for survivability) also works well and gives you flexibility to burst damage when you need it. I can't really figure out what I need to work on... I have fairly decent gear, I understand the class, but I just can't nail down something and I don't know what it is. I'm kind of stuck on 74 maps, I just can't do 75 or 76. I can assume it's not the 3 levels, since I was doing 71 maps at 66... but I could use some help from someone pretty knowledgeable on what I can fix. Let me know what info I need to provide and I will. For now here are the basics...

Do some leveling, get rid of the manaleech gem, use another damge link and get manaleech in tree or on some gear. As soon as you're doing some crits get the "king of the hill" tree notable. @indirect: remove that mana leech gem, really. You'll get 30-40% more damage by replacing it with a dps support (like pierce, added fire or wed). Get ml from tree or gear. 3 points on tree can't compete with 30-40% more damage. This alone could be enough to break your 74 maps wall. Also you don't enough crit right now for increase crit multi to be profitable. Replace with added fire damage.
On tree: lots of wasted points and not enough crit & life. If possible, try to refund the projectile starting route to get Assassination. If you don't have enough regret and refund points to do it, just restart, it should be quite fast. You would be much more tanky with this kind of tree (or this). And where are hatred and herald of hash ? that's 51% extra damage at lvl 20. don't forget your can recolor corrupted gear with Vorici. Ideal colors are rrgb according to me: reduced mana, hatred, hoa, utility (curse, prolif, purity of elt). Ranger builds list: /917964 When two witches watch two watches, which witch watches which watch? If the witches watching watches watch the same watch while you watch which witch watches which watch, they switch watches; then, the watch switching witches watch which watch you watch. @indirect: i would recolour the chest, GGGGRB, R: increased Fire, Weapon Ele Damage or Life Leech or LGOH in Reflect Maps, B: Crit Damage or Phys2Lightning for PhysReflect Maps
G: Tornado, GMP, PPAD, Pierce. Don't use faster attack because of going oom. The Glare is already very fast. I like Panini's 2nd tree link more, because it's more like my own tree :) It also give some more INT. Adapt it to your needs. Resis capped? (don't mind -60 Chaos) Enough Attributes? Use +30 INT or Strenght if you need them until you get better Gear. For Aura/Herald you need high level reduced mana and hatred. No Quali needed on them. For HOA Quali is nice but not essential. |
