I used to do that for a long time, but it cost 3 points on tree. This is a high enough cost to fix it asap with ml on gear.

@sumusiko: get your 2 ml, but don't forget that mana leech rate is 12.5% of your max mana. If you have issue, it's most probably because your mana pool is too low. As an example, here's what I use to "fix" my mana pool:



And I've used that ring instead of the diamond with ml for a very long time, together with mind drinker:


But remember, that stuff comes from Domination and standard back in 1.0/1.1. Back then, skills were more expensive and it was quite hard to sustain skills on mana. You may not need that much mana right now. I don't care about mana on my dagger for example, and I don't have any issue.
And you have to consider accuracy too. If yours is too low, you will miss often and waste mana.
