[3.0] NeverSink's ♣ INDEPTH Tornado&Archer Guide ♣ Beginner friendly ♣ Rapid clear ♣ All bosses

Thanks for the response

I was trying to avoid the reflect clone. The first time I died was definitely my fault because I had pierce on Puncture and shot through one of them and 1 shotted myself on the atziri with a mirror. After this I took off pierce and put on faster attacks to make sure not to hit the reflect one. I still felt like I was dying within 2-3 seconds of entering the room and was avoiding the firestorms. I'm pretty sure I wasn't hitting the reflect one, but maybe I was somehow.

I also noticed on the DPS calculator that WED does huge damage if I put it into my 6-L, so I'm glad to see someone else comment on that. I was tempted to take out pierce for it (and switch out drillneck), but I think the pierce adds a lot to clear speed even though the gem itself is like 3k dps less than WED. I had not thought of taking out crit damage for it, but I might think about giving that a try!

On a sidenote, how good might vaal pact be for this build? Maybe that would help me clear Atziri, was thinking about trying to spec it but not sure how good it is with this build.

If you have the life wheel, you can give vaal pact a try. I don't use it.
As for the gem, if you have a tabula, you can test that easily. If you don't have one, go buy one ;). It's a great piece of gear to test skills setups.

Regarding Atziri, imho, if you don't have any problem with the trio and the two vaal, then you'll do the run with no death in a few tries. It's a very mechanical fight, you just have to learn the pattern and dodge the AOEs properly (very good run speed required).

When two witches watch two watches, which witch watches which watch?
If the witches watching watches watch the same watch while you watch which witch watches which watch, they switch watches; then, the watch switching witches watch which watch you watch.
Watching witches watch watches is not for the faint of heart...

If I was you I would just sell the Drillneck, no joke. Buy a 300+ dps harbinger, a crit quiver with life and a 5l chest. That would solve all of your problem. You would deal more damage and have more life.
Nah, got it for really good price point. Even if I sell it, I would not afford real upgrade. Chest with high EVA, res and life will cost me more than Drillneck. Rare quiver with high crit and life will also cost a bit. I have a quiver with 30 implicit crit, 36 crit, 36 mult and 90 life, but I gave it to my wife :) . I got Drillneck to have single target DPS, because I had problems with bosses and rogues...

Get a 5-Link and put in pierce gem damnit, you have Drillneck and NOT using Pierce gem? Does that make sense? This would be a +100% Increased Projectile Damage Bonus!!!
I'm not selling it :). I'll better stash it till better times. But I already did 5l, put quality pierce into link with TS, respecced from Celerity into Piercing Shots and swapped one of the rings to get more life. Also bought 260 DPS 9.1 crit Harbinger for cheap. Ang my main gems are 20 quality now. Only dumb thing I did there is 20q Hatred. Did it by accident :(

Well the nice thing about this game is that you have so much options approaching problems like this. Nice to see that you solved it on your own.
I'm not really a fan of Drillneck tho. It's too much of a hassle setting it up the right way imo, just like Panini_aux_olives said in his post, especially if you use other uniques like rats nest and maligaros.
I'm using a differnt setup at the moment

Only a 5 link (I am playing selffound), but 17 k before charges.

The Phys to Lightning is multiplied with the increased elemental Damage, and it converts some Physical damage so these pesky reflect maps don't kill me anymore.

Another benefit is, with this much lighning damage you can shock even some bosses, so you get the +50% extra damage.
I played this build into the 80's on torment and it worked extremely well. I got a bit bored of torment and decided to try bloodlines, currently lvl 44.

I like to see the experiments like phys to lightning+celerity going on, good stuff.
Hi ! Precaso in his guide said that

Help Kraityn (+8% attack speed)

This option is slightly better than helping Oak (+18% physical damage). With good levels of gear, your hit size doesn't matter, and your puncture bleed will rarely matter. Being faster = safer vs. reflect and faster clear speed

do you agree with him and if not why?
I still prefer the additional physical damage personally. Its a matter of taste really. Higher attack speed will benefit the heralds slightly better, the raw phys percent is more conducive to mana sustenance and larger crits/ash overburns.

But you can go either way with very little difference to overall damage.
Hello again. What is better: higher DPS or higher crit Harbinger?
