Distribute event calendar in iCal/outlook-CSV format?

DISCLAIMER: I am neither a mac/apple nor outlook user, so no need to laugh about that. However Thunderbird's calendar only accepts these 2 formats to import from...

So.. the subject pretty much says it all already, would it be possible to export the event calendar in a iCAL or outlook-CSV file so that we can import that into our calendar software for automated alarms?
