Getting Ready to PvP

Hey guys,

I know there isn't much of a community for PvP in PoE but I'm joining anyways! Going to start with some lvl 28 builds but I have a few questions. I have always been more of a melee style guy when it comes to PvP (D1/D2) but it seems like its underpowered in PoE PvP. What should I aim for to be able to compete? How much DPS/Life? Max resist? Huge IAS? +crit strike? I've been doing Normal Dom and Cruel Merveil runs to find items, Getting lots of good uniques and rares lvl 28 but not finding any rare weapons, any advice on where to look?

Want to build a sword/shield, 2hander and a bow class.

I know theres not much info here to run with but it will evolve.

Finding a good weapon is insanely hard. I suggest your familiarize yourself with the ilvl 36 index of prefix and suffixes. When u figure out what ele rolls and phys rolls are possible next step is finding viable gear to make a build. Armor is hard to find and so is jewelry but no where near as hard as finding a weapon to compete with others. Try farming piety in normal, she gives the BEST loot imo. Once u find a good weapon and jewelry then u can start theory crafting. Many builds are possible but its all about that weapon imo.
