Meta, Classes and Builds?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently looking into interesting pvp builds and the like, or rather the meta. Not a fotm perse. I'm sure many others could use a hand.

Share your general guidelines, fist rules, rules of thumb and what not. Anything to shed some clarity on the subject.

I would love to know this as well, I just want to know what class I should go with for PvP. My first and only toon atm is a templar, and I have a feeling he is not what I was looking for in a first character.

Alright I'll try to do a short rundown of what I've personally seen recently. However, one person cannot really give a full picture of the meta atm since there are many people I have not fought.

Sword/shield Bringer of Rain (myself)
Aegis Aurora HP
Aegis Aurora CI
Low life EK
HP EK
Lowlife or CI Freeze Pulse
CI Dagger/shield
Viper Strike/Death's Oath
Explosive Arrow
2h swords HP
Bigdaddy 2h mace/bear traps

Only the last 3 don't use very high block with shields. The sword builds use block penetration passives.

Also I expect to see some RF burners after 1.02
