PVP Flaw - Constructive Feedback
Problem 1
In this game Damage Dealers will always win against Tankers. That is because Armour and Resists have cap, meanwhile Damage, Attack Speed, Critical Chance and Critical Damage have not. The low level PVP seems to be balanced, but just because most people dont do enough damage to 1 shot everyone. But the higher the level goes it becomes even more unbalanced. Tankers will never be able to tank a player with High DPS/Critical Chance/Critical Damage. So if going DPS is the ONLY VIABLE BUILD, then the game is unbalanced. Problem 2 This is not PVP related. In the Passives tree, if I can get damage bonus for all weapons (say 1 handed) why would I pick Sword damage bonus instead? The all weapons passive damage bonus (1 handed/2 handed/Twin) should be less than weapon specialization passives (sword/hammer/axe/dagger/claw) or people will always pick the bonuses for all weapons instead of specializing. Other than that this game is perfect and thanks for being in beta since January 2012.
I don't believe, due to how resists/etc are implemented, tanks will ever exist at this rate.
The only way to tank in this game, is with high hp liquidity. With life leech not an option for most builds, that means that tanks are simply high regen meat-bags, with which, one simply needs more damage then their regen, which is simple. Another issue is the fact that the defensive triad is extremely broken in pvp, RT makes Evasion useless, High physical damage makes armor useless, meaning only ES retains any real use.
Tanks without good DMG output will draw matches only.
The game needs reflect auras and Punishment for PVP. " How is it balanced only useful builds use Volls,Facebreaker, Bear Traps or Viper Strike+Block
" It is indeed more balanced than open pvp, allthough it is dominated by melee users. Spark/Arc is viable there, Dual strike too, aswell as double strike. Tank is totally viable in pvp28, assuming you go viper strike. It is actually the strongest build there is in this tier. Last edited by Hexaste on Jan 4, 2013, 1:45:15 PM
