Patch was applied during signature race - really?

In today's signature race I used log out to save a teleport scroll. Next thing i found out I need to exit client and download a fix patch for too large items.

Lost a minute to that and for me this was really frustrating especially when trying to compete for the signature ranks. Cosmetic fix patch during a race, what a farce.

Really this couldn't wait until after the race??
