Is there going to be FFA PVP or similar?

I love the game, enjoyed playing during closed beta and after it went into the open beta, however, I cannot play a game for a long time that has no decent PVP.

I am eagerly awaiting the time when either there will be FFA PVP or the permanent cut throat league... so I can resume playing..
I am checking news on the site almost every day... but there seem to be very little mention about anything in regards of PVP...

Can someone at GGG please answer, as I am sure there are more ppl like me, that are not playing the game right now, but would love to, if it had their PVP niche.

Can we please know if there will be FFA PVP or a permanent merciless league, or perhaps something similar. If yes, then when, at least approximately!!
Also the player base separation largely concerns me, will there be enough players in the cut throat league if there was to be such a league?

I would absolutely LOVE to start playing this game, just give me a hostile button!!!
I, as I am sure many more players, absolutely hate any kind of organized, dictated and preset PVP, for me, it is the further-est thing from enjoyable free style combat where a player can use tactics of ambush, luring, tricking and bluffing...
