Please explain why I am receiving purchase reports in Russian rubles. I purchased the currency through Steam and paid in US dollars.

I am from Ukraine, and Russian missiles and drones attack my country every day — literally at this very moment. Because of that, I do not want to have any connection with Russia in any form.

Are you saying that payments are somehow being processed through Russia or converted into Russian rubles? If so, why? When I buy in-game currency through Steam in US dollars, why does the purchase report show the amount in rubles?

It's already 2026, and Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine has been going on for more than four years. During that time — and even before it — many online platforms and services added support for Ukrainian hryvnia or at least localized their resources into Ukrainian.

I don't expect either of those things from you. However, some kind of obscure conversion into Russian rubles feels like a slap in the face to players from Ukraine.

That definitely needs to change.
