Suggestion: ability to keep character names despite long inactivity.
|
GOAL: Under certain circumstances an account should be able to keep their character names despite long inactivity.
The idea comes from another online game Tibia where there is a similar feature that normally free accounts are deleted after a certain period of not logging into the game. This rule does not apply to accounts which have spent money. These accounts are kept in their database, even many years later. Why? There are players who fancy their character names and do not want to lose them under any circumstances. Some things might happen in life that make it impossible to login into the game within a year of inactivity. Think for example a long stay in the hospital or world traveling without access to a gaming pc with the client installed. Under which rules could it work? There should be an exception for the current 1 year inactivity rule as soon as you have spent a certain amount of real money as a supporter. Or alternatively GGG could add a one time cost microtransaction to give the player an account feature that keeps their character names safe. What if you delete a character? If a player deletes a character, that charactername becomes available for use again to the global playerbase and anyone can take it up.
