keeps telling me to update when i load the game

I downloaded the update. Launched the game. Was told i need to update. Close game. Update. Launch game. Told to update. The cycle is endless. I'm just not going to play if I have to jump through hoops to login. (Steam Launcher)

my friend too, same problem, and says that the league will start in two days.. lol
