Guild Self-Found (GSF) - Empowering Guilds with Integrated Private Leagues
|
Hi everyone, and hopefully someone at GGG!
I’d like to propose a concept for a new, natively integrated game mode: Guild Self-Found (GSF). Currently, if a group of friends or a guild wants to play in an isolated economy, they have to use the Private League system. While Private Leagues are great, the "pay-per-day" and "pay-per-player" funding model creates a lot of friction for casual, long-term group play. Instead, I propose that GSF should be an official league option (just like SSF is right now), directly integrated into the existing Guild system. How Guild Self-Found (GSF) Would Work: Built into the Guild System: When creating a character, you can select the "GSF" flag. This automatically links your character to your current Guild's isolated GSF economy for that specific league. The Guild Stash IS the Economy: Global trade is completely disabled. To share items, currency, or maps with your guildmates, everything must go through the existing Guild Stash Tabs. Strength in Numbers: This setup heavily incentivizes growing your Guild. The bigger the Guild, the more players are contributing to the collective resource pool. It shifts the focus from individual wealth to a massive, shared cooperative effort. Why this makes economic sense for GGG: You might be wondering: "If GGG isn't charging a daily fee like in Private Leagues, how do they make money?" The answer is Guild Stash Tabs. If an entire Guild's economy—from crafting materials and maps to leveling gear and endgame drops—is entirely reliant on sharing items internally, the base Guild Stash will fill up instantly. To function effectively, Guilds will be massively incentivized to pool their points together to purchase significantly more Guild Stash Tabs (Currency tabs, Map tabs, generic premium tabs for dumping). Instead of players hesitating to spend money on "temporary" Private League days, they will gladly pool money for permanent Guild Stash Tabs that provide long-term utility for their community. The Community Impact Guilds currently feel like a glorified private chat room with a basic item dump. A native GSF mode would transform Guilds into true cooperative communities. Players would actively farm specific items to complete a guildmate's build, knowing that every drop benefits the collective effort. It provides the perfect middle ground between the absolute isolation of SSF and the trade-heavy focus of the standard leagues, while creating a sustainable, permanent revenue stream for GGG through Stash Tab sales. What do you guys think? Would a native GSF mode encourage your guild to play together more and invest in shared stash tabs? Thanks for reading! Last bumped on May 28, 2026, 9:07:48 AM
