Question About Multi-Boxing and Game Economy

Recently, I have noticed that on Chinese discussion forums and video-sharing platforms, many people are showing the use of third-party tools or programs to control six accounts at the same time in order to increase currency farming and the drop rate of high-value unique items.

I would like to know whether GGG has the ability to prevent this kind of behavior. If this situation is indeed happening on a large scale, could it have a negative impact on the game's economy system?

The China region's servers are segregated from the international version of the game, have radically different monetisation (e.g. paying to revive with no XP loss), and are not managed by Grinding Gear Games themselves. Those servers are essentially a different game entirely.

So, while multiboxing in the traditional sense is very much grounds for permanent account closure on the international servers, I haven't seen anything to indicate it being against the rules 'over there'.

I think your post conflates two different things. Just because something is implicitly or explicitly accepted by Tencent in China doesn't mean that GGG lacks "the ability to prevent this kind of behavior" - it is simply an indication of there being different cultural norms in that region, and of the company in charge enforcing a different set of rules as a result.

You neither play with, nor trade with, those playing on Tencent's China servers.

You dont play on chinise servers buddy. This is the non-chinise client. GGG has a strict policy against bots or any other 3rd party program. They ban a lot of people who use those programs each league. You dont have to worry about none of that.

Good luck shifting GGG's ethnical biases.
Advocating for the deletion of standard is like demanding Blizzard to delete non-ladder from Diablo 2, practically destroying a core element of ARPGs.
