Suggestion: "Appear Offline" / Invisible mode for the friends and guild list

Hi GGG Team,

First of all, thank you for your incredible work on Path of Exile.

I am writing to suggest a feature that I, and surely many other players, would deeply appreciate: the option to set our online status to "Appear Offline" or Invisible.

Path of Exile is a fantastic game, but it can also be incredibly intense. Sometimes, after a long day, a player just wants to log in, relax, and focus entirely on progressing their character, mapping, or pushing the endgame at their own pace.

Currently, being online means always being visible to the friends list and guild members. While the social aspect of PoE is great, there are times when we just want to play in peace, without the pressure of immediately answering whispers, joining party invites, or managing guild responsibilities.

Implementing an "Appear Offline" toggle would:

Give players peace of mind: Allowing us to enjoy the game in a single-player mindset when needed.

Reduce social burnout: Sometimes you just want to farm for an hour or two without feeling rude for ignoring friends.

Improve the overall experience: Giving users more control over their privacy and social interaction.

We already have a /dnd (Do Not Disturb) mode, but it doesn't prevent people from knowing you are online, and it can sometimes feel a bit unwelcoming to friends. A true invisible mode would solve this perfectly.

Please consider adding this quality-of-life feature in a future update or for PoE 2.

Thank you for your time and consideration!

Adding to this point, another crucial part of privacy is how the current friends list works.

Right now, anyone can add you and track your online status without your consent. It feels more like a "follower" system than a proper friends list, which is outdated for today's standards.

Adding mutual friends requests alongside an "Appear Offline" mode would just give us the option to play at our own pace sometimes, without leaving friends hanging.

I know it might not be structurally simple to code, but it just makes sense for a modern game. It would be an amazing quality-of-life update and incredibly healthy for the game's community.
