Drox's ES recharge durring Invincibility is such bull @#$%

So im running influence scarabs of interfernce in nightmare maps. There's only one boss i hate to get, and that is Drox. I hate being one shotted by his damn fists, but I can accept it. I can even accept his "invincibility".

What I can't accept is the fact when he's invicible he gets to recharge all of his ES. Catarina doesn't get to do that when she "moves out of phase" due to a mini being up. Why the hell does Drox get to get away with it?

This makes for impossbile combo's sometimes, by the time you get the banners down, his ES has completely recharged, and if he's getting a bonus for that well by the time u get his ES back down again he makes himself invicible and recharges it.

he has a TON of resistane.

i remember when i was weaker i too found this feature as total bullshit. you barely do damage while he recharges.

Exaactly, I just finish him while he's still in that phase before he can even get up lmao

I can't imagine trying to do any boss in this game on a build that doesn't have over 100 mil dps, it must be so boring. DPS is the best stat in this game.

Drox is just a damage check. Don't bother with the banner and keep your focus on him.

But you do play a build with less than 30kk each league, so please share your "so boring" experience.

Is this why you exclusively have others do fights for you, because you don’t want to do boss fights with less than 30kk damage, while in reality 5kk is already more than you’d realistically ever need?

Dude when he drops his BANNERS he becomes (and everything else in their radius) Invicnible. I'm running a 16khp RF build. If the boss is hasted, has extra ES/extra life so do all the banners he drops. This makes it nearly impossible to get the banners down in time before he refreshes his ability to drop more AND/OR burn through all of his recharged energy shield to do actual damage to him.

At least with "maven interfers" you have the ability to block her heals on mobs with frostbomb and other anti-regen. However, when he's invicibile he just recharges his ES, even if you contiuninally hit him.

Setting aside the 'lazy' answer here. there should always be a mechanic which allows a player to succeed even if it's a royal PitA. For regen mobs that's anti-regen (Die maven for "be healed and fight on").


I can respect the fact Drox can make himself invicible to damage with his banners, but i don't like the fact that it makes him immune even registering the fact that something is still attempting to do damage.

Like my eariler example with catarina (or sirus). she goes in and out of "phase" as many other bosses do, but they don't recharge their ES durring those phases AND you can ensure they don't even get to recharge their ES by constantly smacking them with something.

Droxx breaks all those rules. Juiced he and his banners are the most cheaty mob I can think of.
