Have you guys considered selling clothes?

Hi GGG, just wondering if you ever considered selling merchant like clothes, hoodies etc.
I have one t-shirt I got from one of the supporter packages that I love, but the t-shirt is old and now became pijamas. I was wondering how could I get another one, if you ever consider selling them. I would also buy other stuff like cap, hoodies, tank tops etc. Cheers Last bumped on May 20, 2026, 10:51:26 PM

The t-shirt being exclusive to the 160 USD Thaumaturge of the Vaal supporter pack, and the hoodie being exclusive to the 240 USD Warlord of the Karui supporter pack probably help GGG to shift each of the two packs. Even if the designs were distinct - making official Path of Exile t-shirts and hoodies available through other means could result in the high-end supporter packs becoming less enticing, which might cost GGG more money than it makes them.

" How do you think that selling t-shirts will cost "more money than it makes them"? The t-shirt cost is like 5 dollars maximum and they can sell it for like 25-30. Selling t-shirts is a way lots of people became rich in early days of the "Printify" era, it is definitely a lucrative business, every streamer has their merchant shop, I don't get it how it can be a bad business for GGG. You barely have any work, you just set a store and you sell in auto mode. Someone in China prints and ships them for almost free, so I am confusing on your rationale. |

" ...I did spend the entirety of my previous post explaining why. :/ I'm happy to clarify if there's a particular point you disagree with or are confused on, but simply ignoring it and asking for an explanation isn't very helpful - I don't know what to elaborate on. Let's make some assumptions;
You have put the COGS of a t-shirt at $5 - I think that's a bit low, but let's run with it. Per 100 t-shirts sold;
Selling t-shirts individually - instead of locking them behind a $160 paywall - just cost the company $1,100 per 100 t-shirts sold. This isn't going to bankrupt the company, but it is losing them money. " The reason the streamer analogy doesn't hold is for them it is a positive-sum game. They were, previously, not making any money through t-shirts leveraging their personal brands. With Printify et al, they now are. There's no opportunity cost - only unit economics. For GGG, it is instead a zero-sum game. Maybe someone who is interested in a Path of Exile t-shirt is interested in buying both the design sold separately, and the one included in a supporter pack... but I doubt that there's many people out there doing both. If the comparatively inexpensive t-shirts getting sold separately cannibalise sales of more expensive supporter packs, that's bad. GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support. I get your point now thanks for taking the time to ellaborate. I would say 1000 people would buy a tshirt meanwhile only 10 would buy a supporter pack because of a tshirt.
In my point of view lots of people would throw 30 bucks for a tshirt but not 20% of those would buy 160 supporter pack. If they never try they will never have the numbers. Also, what about my case that already bought the supporter pack but my tshirt got old and I want a new one? How do I get the same one considering I will not buy the same supporter pack again? |
