Game forgetting settings on launch (using Steam)

This started today after 10am pdt and before 1:30pm pdt. I played this morning and game launched fine/as normal. I then logged in after lunch and the game reverted back to default settings. It forgot my ingame graphics setup, keybindings, etc. I manually restored them back to my settings. I then logged back in a bit later, and it happened again. Is there some issue with Steam or PoE servers related to saving settings? I have played PoE on Steam for over 11,000 hours, this has never happened before. Nothing has changed on my end.

Do you have an auto backup service / app running such as OneDrive syncing or changing your config file in the Documents folder?

If Microsoft hasn't silently re-enabled OneDrive after a recent update - they like doing that, and it messes with the client's ability to access the file properly - it's possible that the folder it is in has become Read Only for some reason, or that another process is interfering with the client's ability to access the file and save its changes to disk so that they aren't lost on client closure.

Good catch Sarno! I am on Win 11, and the PoE directory in My Games had become ReadOnly?!? I have removed all existence that I can of OneDrive from my OS, including disabling it in Startup Apps. But you are right, prob the latest Win update did this. That being said, still confused as to how this worked fine this morning, but not this afternoon. Windows did not install an update today.
