Forbidden rite still doing damage to my writhing worms w/ brutality support linked

I have a 2 linked rare helmet with no special modifiers

The two links are forbidden rite and brutality

My writhing worms from the squirming terror ring are being slain by my forbidden rite ):

I've taken off every piece of gear apart from helm and the ring, which has no spell in socket

I'm a lvl 72 berserker with the 2 rage notables for my ascendancy points, and rage, health, and warcry notables taken on the tree. I do not have any warcrys up when I press forbidden rite.

No flasks are running, no buffs are active


I have 1400 hours on poe 1 so I'm pretty confident I haven't missed anything here. Pretty sure this is a bug.

Writhing worms are destroyed on hit. I dont think doing damage is necessary.

I know you arent using the writhing jar but I imagine this patch note would apply to the ring as well to prevent similar interactions.

'Worms spawned from The Writhing Jar are now destroyed when hit. This overrides effects which would otherwise prevent them from dying, such as the one found on the unique gloves southbound'

I'm trying to keep them alive so that I can guarantee hit them w/ rage vortex of berserking for leech uptime to maintain tainted pact. Ah well, it's working at the moment anyway.
