Skill Gem Request: Magic Missile

Can we get a new level 1, Physical Spell Skill gem?

Magic Missile is a staple skill in several games.
It's usually available from the get go.
It's usually some type of non-elemental damage.

Any chance we can get something like that?

I know we have Blazing Salvo...
But it's fire element, and causes so much screen clutter.
Soooo much screen clutter.

Any chance we can get a low visual, physical version, available from level 1?
Screen clutter is such a problem with high projectile skills.
Please please please, let this be almost invisible.

I'm thinking Split Arrow levels of visual clutter.
Some little impact poofs.
And the ability to scale up the number of projectiles as the gem levels grow.

There is probably an mtx to color blazing salvo to what you want.

There is not.
Blazing Salvo does not have any MTX options available.

I fully expect a transfigured version of Blazing Salvo to release soon...
But I don't want Blazing Salvo transfigured.

I want something that I can league start in Act 1, that is phys, and has minimal visual clutter.

Ethereal knives?

Ethereal Knives is a single hit on a target. So dps is lacking on single targets.
Blazing Salvo can hit a single target with multiple projectiles.

I would hope Magic Missile would likewise be able to hit a single target with multiple projectiles.

I'm not even asking for it to be AoE...I mean it's got to differ from Blazo Salvo in some way.

You're looking for the "kinetic" wand attack skills.

You mean like Kinetic Fusillade?

It's basically Homing Crystal Soulmass from Dark Souls.

The term “Magic Missile” is trademarked by Wizards of the Coast as it’s IP of D&D.

I would posit that’s why GGG went with the adjective “kinetic” for their wand skills to avoid copyright infringement.
