Should we start pushing for a "Death Log" now

Seems like all the other in game systems you said couldn't be done are now being added. How about a way to determine what actually kills us? It would just be really nice to learn from mistakes instead of having to make the same ones over and over until it accidentally becomes obvious.

Considering instant death could either come in the form of a really big hit or a ton of small ones all hitting at the same time, the death log would need to list the last few hits if players want to be able to glean anything useful to help them learn.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

The others found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on juice. I am not so foolish.
a death log would be great. but we dont know the cost.

usually to create a death log the game would have to constantly log all damage taken by the player.

some modern games go as far as giving a full breakdown of damage types, damage sources and what actually killed the player with coloured graphs and could even include mitigated damage data.

if having a damage log causes poe to lag in any way i rather not have a death log.

and to be real, the game currently is quite zoomy. for most players its better to just burst enemies down asap

"Now"?

Buddy you're over a decade late to the party. 🤣 Yes pretty much everyone agrees that they want it. GGG is against releasing a partial implementation as they fear it may be misleading, and a more complete implementation is a bit of a technology challenge. Ultimately it's not a priority with PoE2 heading towards release at the end of the year. Maybe after PoE2 1.0, but I wouldn't hold your breath.
