Suggested Improvement to Mark Skill Application Mechanics

I am currently playing an Assassin build utilizing the Deathmarked ascendancy node to apply Assassin’s Mark. While delving, I’ve encountered a recurring issue with the current mark system.

If I apply a mark to an enemy and fail to kill it before the crawler advances, that enemy may remain alive but out of reach. In this situation, I am unable to apply a mark to a new target because the previous marked enemy is still active. This disrupts gameplay flow.

To address this, I would like to propose the following adjustment to mark skill behavior:

Allow marks to be applied to a new target if the currently marked enemy has not been hit by the player within the last 4 seconds.

This change would ensure that players are not penalized for leaving behind a marked enemy they can no longer engage.

I am currently forced to use the Assassin’s Mark skill gem in my gear, despite having the Deathmark ascendancy node, in order to manually apply the mark when this situation arises, which happens quite frequently.
