ㄴWE NEED TO THINK ABOUT THIS, WE NEED TO REFLECTㄱ

Have you ever considered that there are many players, not just a few , who prefer to experience new content using their existing builds instead of starting completely from scratch? Starting over requires a lot of time, and in real life many people have busy routines and simply don’t have enough time to redo everything every league.
Because of this, being able to enjoy engaging content with already established builds would be a true innovation. It would support a large group of players who often don’t even start playing because they know it will require too much time, making it hard for them to truly enjoy the game. Giving these players the opportunity to have fun with the builds they have already created would be a meaningful improvement. Ideally, the game should offer both options: For those who enjoy leagues, continue starting from zero each season, as it has always been. At the same time, allow Standard to also offer meaningful and special content, enabling players to experience it using the builds they already own and value. This would support players who do not want , or simply cannot , start over, but still want to enjoy something new. It would also help those who currently skip leagues due to lack of time, since they could participate using what they already have. This is a real opportunity to innovate and bring new life to Standard. With the right ideas and improvements, it can reveal its full potential and become an even more special and engaging part of the game. Last bumped on Apr 29, 2026, 3:55:22 AM

There would be no point in having leagues at all if the content were also available in Standard at the same time. Not going to happen. Get over the FOMO.

" Cosign this. Major core changes are one thing, but league content needs to remain as strictly league content. Advocating for the deletion of standard is like demanding Blizzard to delete non-ladder from Diablo 2, practically destroying a core element of ARPGs.

Bringing the league format into Standard is a fantastic idea. It would allow us to explore the Standard universe like never before, creating a strong and positive impact.
This would give players two clear choices: they could either start fresh in a league as usual, or experience league content within Standard using their already established builds. That second option is especially valuable, because it opens the door for players who don’t want to start from scratch. Starting over requires a significant time investment, and many players simply don’t begin for that reason. Providing the opportunity to enjoy special league content without restarting would attract a large audience , especially those who want to play but don’t have enough time to fully commit. It would benefit not only Standard players, but also league players who like the format but can’t always participate from day one. This is a powerful idea that expands player choice and ensures that no type of player feels left out. It creates opportunities for everyone: those with plenty of time to start fresh, and those who prefer to continue with their existing builds. Having this second option would help ensure that no one feels excluded from Path of Exile. It broadens the appeal of the game and brings together all types of players. |

No, you are not truly a Standard player. Right now, you are playing in the league and enjoying it, and you participate in many leagues. Because of that, you don’t fully understand the perspective of players who play Standard 100%.
You may say this idea isn’t good because your mindset is focused on enjoying leagues from the very beginning. Naturally, your opinion leans negative. However, your view does not represent players who don’t have the time to start a league from day one, nor does it reflect those who play exclusively in Standard. Having a second option is extremely valuable because it increases the variety of choices and ensures that no one is left out. This idea goes straight to the core issue: supporting players who don’t have a lot of time to dedicate to leagues, as well as Standard players. It creates a space where both groups can fit. If a player prefers leagues and wants to start from zero, that path remains available ,but it is also the most demanding, requiring significant time and effort. Many players simply don’t start for that reason. By expanding this second option, we create more opportunities for these players, as well as for Standard players, to participate and enjoy the game. This is a very positive addition because it offers an important alternative for a group of players that is often left out. This group is not small ,it is large, relevant, and would gladly return to playing leagues if they didn’t require such a heavy time commitment. Many people have busy lives and avoid leagues because they know how demanding they are. With the ability to use their already established builds, a significant number of these players would return and engage with the game again. It would also attract players who previously didn’t participate in Path of Exile, or who stopped playing altogether. |

The main point of this idea is to expand the range of possibilities so that a very large audience can participate and enjoy the game. Not everyone has the amount of time required to start and progress through a league from the very beginning.
Path of Exile’s player base began over ten years ago, and today many of those players are over 20 or 30 years old. They have busier routines and no longer have the same amount of free time they once did. By bringing league content into Standard, these players would have the opportunity to enjoy that content using the builds they have already developed. This would require far less time and effort than starting a league from scratch, while also supporting players who remain dedicated to Standard. The central goal is to broaden access through something truly meaningful ,giving players who, at times, cannot start a league due to time constraints, those who stopped playing because of how demanding leagues can be, and those who have always preferred Standard, a way to fully engage with the game. " Yes, I played this league for the challenge rewards and retired back to standard. I tend to do that when I want the rewards but I assure you I'm dedicated to standard. Having 36 challenges done doesn't mean you're having fun, just saying... " Well that's a wild assumption. This would effectively kill temp leagues and is a horrible idea, there are too many broken things in standard. P.S. I'm nearly 50 years old, this game has always drawn an older audience fwiw. Just a lowly standard player. May RNGesus be with you.
