pirate mechanic is pure cancer

today i had to defeat the pirate 4 times in less than 24 hours. basically every time i log out and come back in i have to do it. if i stay logged in all day i never have to do it. GGG stop torturing players with this garbage. it really feels like you are punishing people for logging out of your game, because 99% of the time the pirate happens when people log out

Maybe its secretly programmed to have a much higher chance to spawn when you logout. Its the worst when your mappers get attacked right after you logout so they all stop after Map #1 and never do any more all night lmao
Lifelong NEET, loud and proud about it.

its clearly a rigged mechanic. thats the part that bothers me the most because if this is rigged and there is no real randomness about it then i wonder what else is rigged and not real rng. it really ruins the game for me.

"Source: Trust me bro? "Wait until you find out that there is no real rng in PoE, or any computer game for that matter. |

what? are you saying there is no real randomness and everything is pre set by the devs? then what even is the point in playing a game like this where people hope for that big ticket item to drop out of pure randomness

"There is no true randomness in any game (or software) unless you're incorporating physical hardware random number generators. Which, outside of very specific fields, is pretty much never. Every game you ever played operates on some level of prng, a pseudorandom number generator. Basically a deterministic algorithm that produces a sequence of numbers approximating the properties of random numbers. It's pretty good and close enough, for video games and software anyway. And no, that doesn't mean GGG is deliberately screwing you over. Probability is still a thing and your pirate encounters popping up more often while being logged out doesn't mean shit.
