Some thoughts about exp penalty

Every season, I would like to try different builds. However, the exp penalty makes it so difficult for my characters to reach lvl 100. I am thinking if it makes more sense to have such penalty only for one character per season, which means when one of your characters reach lvl 100 the others do not necessarily need to suffer with the penalty. And if they could get 10% increased exp it would be even better. I am pretty sure this change would make the game have stronger player retention.

Nah. I like having the exp penalty in the game. Getting to 100 should take some effort and not just given to the player. Things like skips for second characters, experience or campaign wise, just doesn't speak well for the game long term and detracts from the time investment you make, as well as the payoff you receive.
Now that 5 ways are way better than they used to be I am much more OK with the experience penalty. It used to be really bad grouping and relatively more expensive (easier to make currency to run them these days).

I don't think GGG will bend on this one although I wouldn't be "offended" if they cut the penalty in half. Especially this season the first two weeks were brutal laaaagggg and it cost me and I'm sure most people a lot of needless deaths.

Just to be clear to GGG if they happen to read these forums....if there were not good 5 ways I probably would have quit this game a few years ago out of frustration. Not that it is any fun doing the mind dead 5 ways but it is "evidently" the price of admission to the I won't be mad all day if I get an unfair death at high level club.
