Experience points issue

I’m not gaining experience points like I should be, no matter how much fighting I do and I’m fighting monsters same level as my character. What little I might gain are gone the next time I log on to play. It’s making it impossible to level up.

Experience points are lost not when logging on, but upon death after Act 5.

Except I’ve logged off and had experience points, and logged back in to play the next day and my experience points are gone. And it’s more than that, I’m not gaining experience period. My whole game is at a stand still but because I can’t level up and no matter the amount of farming I do, at appropriate monster level, experience points are not being registered. I’ve not had this issue with other characters I’ve created.
