Shift Macro

Hey i just wanted to ask if its possible to use a macro for perma holding Shift while crafting? If you are Chaos orb spam for example.

I was looking at other threads but i was not able to find one or atleast not one for my Scenario. I know that "1 Macro = 1 Serverside action" but i have no idea if there is something different at crafting since you are only keeping the chaos orb on your mouse but the server action is connect to the left click.

I can understand that holding a button can be really strong at build creation and you can create builds around macros holding a button for you and this would be not fair. But in crafting you usually have more than enough fingers to complete the craft and its more of a Quality of Life thing than advantage.
Atleast in my case there is no kind of being more time efficient or anything, it just would result into not getting your little finger not numb.

What you are describing would be classed as automation, and is not allowed.

I have spent no small amount of time looking into this (see the thread below), and to the best of my knowledge this is allowed. GGG has always accepted macros which functionally just perform key rebinding - and while this isn't technically the same thing, the end result is the same & it confers no obvious gameplay advantage. A modifier key is itself essentially key rebinding.

Please explain this. I am not much of a crafter or power player, but this is beyond my experience. How can or does holding keys impact build creation?
