High Ping on South African Server

I’m experiencing consistently high latency (50+ ms) when connecting to the South African server in Path of Exile. Previously, the server provided much lower and stable ping, but recently it has increased and become inconsistent during gameplay.

This results in noticeable input delay, delayed skill activation, and occasional stuttering, especially in high-action scenarios like mapping or boss fights. The issue persists across different instances and times of day, suggesting it may not be isolated to peak usage.

My local internet connection is stable, and tests to other regional servers or games show normal latency, indicating the problem is likely server-side or related to routing to the SA gateway.

If you post an MTR to an instance server, GGG can investigate this for you. Unlike instance servers, authentication servers are provided by Cloudflare - and, as you note other regional servers are not affected - an MTR log to an authentication server might therefore not demonstrate the issue.
