The Taming ring increase per aliment work with mines?

I often see miner builds wear The Taming probably because of:
(30-40)% increased Elemental Damage with Hits and Ailments for
each type of Elemental Ailment on Enemy

But does it actually work with mines?

Unless the item specifies something like "that you attack" or "your attacks" or "your spells", it is a generic thing that will apply to any form of combat, except from minions.

The taming bonus is a generic elemental damage bonus, which does apply to proxies, and mines are a type of proxy.

If it was some special wording that require you yourself to apply the ailments (which it does not), then it would not help.

"Your mines and totems are you, but you are not your mines and totems."

Someone somewhere said that one time. It cleared things up for me.
I poop, therefore I am.
Still, I loaded my build in PoB, and expected to see change in damage when I enable/disable Enemy Aliments (Chilled, Shocked) - but it doesn't change. So, either PoB is broken or ring doesn't work with mines....

I created a blank character in PoB, created a new mine skill, equiped The Taming as the only item and there was no change in damage.
Then, I activated elemental ailments on the enemy and damage went up for each ailment. Therefore, it works.

The only source of damage from The Taming is the damage per ailment. So what you could do is unequip the ring, see the damage and then equip The Taming. If damage goes up it means PoB is interpreting you always inflict those ailments by default. This happens sometimes with things like Ralakesh's Impatience, that considers you always at maximum X charges so if you have the power charge version and you tic the "Do you use power charges" option on and off there's no difference.
If the damage doesn't go up maybe your PoB is not updated or you have some weird interaction activated that prevents you from inflicting ailments.
