The latency is horrible still
|
I know I'm the 10,000th person to make a post like this but it's ridiculous its still happening. My latency is bouncing between 60ms and 500ms+
Im on the US east coast and would normally get 26ms on the Washington server. I found the Texas server with higher ping to be more stable. Which doesn't really mean much when it bounces like this. You CANNOT map with this latency. As others have said, its a slideshow. I have ZERO issues with other games and services that rely on internet. Its isolated to POE ONLY. I will NOT be giving GGG any supporter money until this is fixed, if ever, which it seems it wont. The worst and most frustrating thing is that you can't avoid the latency issues by playing SSF. A mode that isolates you to playing by yourself, requires you to be at the mercy of GGG servers. There's no escape from their terrible service. Last bumped on Apr 1, 2026, 12:16:50 PM

Nobody else has posted about latency / ping issues in Technical Support so far today.
Could you post an MTR log created while experiencing the problem? https://www.poecommunity.help/information/server-connection GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.

Same problem here and I am absolutely sure that it is not my gear as I have absolutely zero problems with other network games.
I can see some "No response from host" entries in WinMTR and Network display shows a couple of minutes to open my stash. Sometimes it gets better when I restart POE and it connects to another IP address, but after a short while it gets worse again. Now it is the fifth connection and I can see "no response from host" on multiple entries again. Is there anything we can do about this? |

" That isn't meaningful. " If you would like help create your own thread and show people the WinMTR. Nobody can learn anything from something they've not seen. GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.

I experience lag every day, ranging from 100 to 3000 ms.
During that time, nothing is being downloaded or done—I’m just playing. If anyone claims this isn’t true, they should try starting the game themselves and just ask in the channel what the players think—there’s usually a lot of laughter about the server pings, and they make fun of POE2 for not being able to get the lag under control. It’s been lagging ever since I got the game. I’ve also had a post on Steam for months where I document the lag (publicly) + include screenshots so people can see it’s true. Every day, new gamers who’ve just bought the game pop up in chat asking what can be done about the lag. The answer is always “nothing.” It’s sad that the publisher treats gamers this way and does nothing, even though this is common knowledge everywhere. Anyone here who claims this isn’t known either doesn’t play Poe2 or has their channel muted. Please don’t give me the answer “then it’s your network/internet provider’s fault.” No—I’m a computer scientist and have really checked everything, and this only happens with this game. My ping and network load aren’t even close to being maxed out or fluctuating that much. |

Here is the WinMTR snippet I saved on one of the first tries. Does this contain any meaningful information? If not please guide me to provide relevant information to analyze the issue.

For anyone searching a solution desperately. You can try to switch the server connection in the login screen. I have switched from Frankfurt to Amsterdam and it seems to work better for now.
But the best solution might be to switch to a VPN connection as the problem seems to be in the network route. |
