I just got a mirage in the boss section of underground sea map.
First off, in the map, the boss area was packed from side to side. All filled. Like 4-8 packs of rares and magic. Horrible Even worst in the mirage, so many units you're stuck as soon as you get in. I activated Vaal grace (tough to get an op character in Ruthless), didn't matter, I was popped with a soft mod map. Getting out of that in Ruthless with no movement skill gems, impossible. You just pop. Horrible. Frustratring. Really sh*tty experience. Last edited by JmLamb#0572 on Mar 30, 2026, 7:43:07 PM Last bumped on Apr 1, 2026, 12:37:08 AM

If you still have access to that Map instance, it would help GGG a lot if you re-enter it and use the /bug chat command. Otherwise it won't be possible for them to investigate your report.

" I experienced the same, but I'm not playing ruthless. For me it was exciting. I learned to expect the possibility that i might be surrounded on entering the mirage, so i was ready with my skills, but i wasn't prepared for the entire screen to be densely packed. In the time it took me to summon all 12 fusillades and for them to launch, the mob took me down to 1 health...no red in the life bar...and then the fusillades launched, whole screed cleared, life refilled from vampirism. It was probably one of the most exciting moments i have had playing the game. A movement skill is not optional. If you have no movement skill you are torturing yourself and making the game unnecessarily difficult. I hear people complain about the lightning totems; well, don't stand in them. That is the very reason the movement skills exist; so that you can get out of a situation of being surrounded that would otherwise be certain death. Instead of complaining that it was too hard, think of how you can modify your build to counter such a situation. You already know that the reason you died in that situation was because you had no movement skill. So should GGG alter the game so that you never experience that situation, or should you pick up a movement skill? Last edited by ScottSteven8295#4411 on Mar 31, 2026, 5:22:44 AM

" OP is playing Ruthless. There is only one very shitty movement skill in Ruthless: Quickstep. It has a 10s cooldown and can't pass through monsters or terrain. So it's not negligence that made OP not use a movement skill, it's their choice of game mode. " Tbf, this sums up most people's attitude towards Ruthless as a whole. For "benchies" the situation you describe sounds like a treat. But I get that it is different in Ruthless. I guess it doesn't get as much attention and QA as the "normal" game, so the balance will be off sometimes. Last edited by twostroketom#5281 on Mar 31, 2026, 7:16:10 AM
