Question, re: clearing client cache

Hi dudes and dudettes, I was having issues with crashes, so as part of troubleshooting I cleared the client cache as per the guide. I have also updated my graphics drivers, so I have the latest version.
In the guide it states "After clearing cached shaders your client performance will be temporarily degraded while the client regenerates the shaders it needs." My question is, how long is 'temporarily degraded'? One day? Two days? A week? A month? It's been a couple of days and my character still looks weird. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and that didn't fix it. Just wondering how long it will take? Thanks! The two are unrelated.
Could you post a screenshot of your character? GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.
