Mirage Portals

I'm enjoying the league so far and I like the mirage mechanic overall. However, I don't understand why there needs to be 60+ monsters standing on the portal when you enter. The number of times I've been 1 shot on the first step inside a mirage or the first time I try to attack is frankly unacceptable.
I have almost 5k life/energy shield, max evasion, max suppression, and decent block. Sometimes I can't even frost blink out of immunity without dying mid dash before I even reach the target destination. 2/3rds of all the deaths I have are from entering the mirage, which makes me not want to interact with it at all, when I'm capable of clearing T17s. There needs to be some sort of buffer zone around the portal so you can actually start playing before you are instantly shotgun by dozens of projectiles. Last bumped on Mar 15, 2026, 11:43:13 PM

It's interesting feedback - I've definitely entered Mirages and not exactly felt like my personal space was being respected as soon as the loading screen had concluded.
But I also kind of wonder. I think one of the problems GGG faces is the number of people playing the game who decide to spec for infinite damage, infinite leech, and functional immortality from same. The game does need to present ways of challenging such builds in some form. If different league mechanics ask different questions of builds - and if each build finds answering some easier than others - then I suspect that's more feature than bug. Ultimately, people can always attempt to scale their EHP if their builds are overly reliant on leech. GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.
