Hive Fortresses - Why do diamond cubbies never have Grasping Coffers, but rectangular do?

Why do these cubbies never have the purple Breach coffers? Far be it from me to suggest we have to check more dead ends, but it feels weird that these dead ends never have anything but monsters (that don't drop loot in your loot-based ARPG btw).
