Invitation not dropping

It has happened for the second time now, I thought maybe I missed it the 1st time but that now seems unlikely: Writhing invitation has not dropped when I completed my 14th Eater influenced map (I'm only on my 2nd Eater cycle so I had no Writhing invitation drop for me this league, besides the quest one).
Another user in Global complained about not getting the Polaric invitation, might be related.
For me, all other Eldritch invitations have been dropping as they should so far.

It seems that this bug also occurs on PC in the Ruthless SSF league. This is the second time I’ve completed the 25th map boss with Exarch influence and I still didn’t receive the Polaric Invitation.

(In Ruthless, the invitation should drop from the 25th map boss instead of the 14th.)

I have the same problem on PC in softcore Mirage league for progress towards Searing Exarch as well. I thought I had missed it, but now I've run two more "laps" and checked for hidden loot but it does not drop. I get the Incandescent Invitation on finishing the lap though after 28 maps.

If you're on the last one, kill the map boss before entering the mirage. I believe spawning the influence again in the mirage will set the counter to 1, which may cause issues when killing the maps boss.

It seems there is something going on with Mirage and completion count for sure. For instance, I'll have the whole wheel filled (28 completions) with the Exarch/Eater invitation dropping in the next map which also counts as the first completion of the next cycle. I believe it used to drop in the 28th map with the wheel clearing up after. Without further knowledge on how this all works under the hood, it seems like something that slipped past the QA process. Surprised it didn't seem to get any attention in the patching process so far.

I found the source of the problem. If there is Exarch or Eater influence on the map, the counter increases by one both on the map and in the Mirage. This becomes an issue if there’s no boss in the Mirage, because the counter reaches 14 or 28 and there’s no boss that could drop the invitation for you.

The same problem happens if, for example, you’re on a City Square map and only 2 bosses appear in the Mirage instead of 3. Those 2 bosses don’t match the map completion, so you won’t get the invitation.

Based on this, you always need to make sure that the 14th and 28th influence do not occur inside the Mirage.

I hope they will fix this issue soon.

I've had the counter hit 28 without dropping the invite, and it just dropped on the next map instead.

So it isn't purely that. There's some additional aspect to the bug (which I have not personally experienced).
