Remove Exp-loss Death-penalty
|
The death system where you lose experience upon death is so incredibly outdated and just really harsh on “more casual players.” Often, those last 5 skill points are so powerful that they would make things a lot easier—but unless you're playing a “I'm a noob, I don't die” build, you can't really reach that point.
I haven’t achieved that with ANY of my builds so far... I don’t have a level 100 character and usually quit before I get there because it’s designed so incredibly poorly. Losing 10% if ANYTHING kills you on a map... I don’t know how many times I’ve died to SoulEater this season... As far as I’m concerned, it can take 5 times longer to level up from 90 onward... but please, without this ridiculous penalty—because if I’m ONLY leveling up now, then I’m doing the easy maps on purpose and skipping currency runs or anything else that’s fun. The mechanic is outdated and should be scrapped. There’s a reason why hardly any other game has this! +1
It would be one of the most welcome and long-awaited gifts. |

Nah. If your build cant handle the content you are doing there needs to be a real tangible punishment for it

" Aside from this just being a nearly textbook bandwagon fallacy, the fact that we're playing Path of Exile instead of those other games should tell you something. Also, this. " |

" I'd agree with you, if it weren't for the fact that the number of defensive layers required to survive is now overwhelming. I have to farm for better gear, and to do that I have to play harder content, but I have to be punished because I'm not ready for that difficulty yet. But it's my fault... |

i am betting it is THE No 1 reason for people RAGE quitting the game after a few weeks. i know i am one. this could be the greatest game EVER, except it isn't. it has tremendous potential. that is why i come back every other league or so, only to quit again.
i am betting, the moment GGG removes this insane penalty a shitload of people would return, possibly paying customers. |
