Heist is a controller nightmare

The "buttons" to deactivate traps are too deep in. You have to slowly walk to the edge of the damaging area to activate them. This is x10 harder considering there's an increased amount of annoying enemies lately (with invul auras, mana drains, ice-wall-and-flees and other annoying stuff that overlaps). It's impossible to click, you have to stop and slowly walk towards it until it can be activated (if you don't do this fast enough you get swarmed and can't click it) and once you manage to do it's hard to tell if the NPC actually did its job or if it just stopped after you had to dash away from the massive mob that spawned while you were trying to activate the button.
This is a problem in general, too many thing that are interactable that overlap with other stuff. But in Heist you're in a hurry so it's x10 worse. A potential solution would be to auto-activate it once you stand on a circle that's away from the damaging area for half a sec or something like that. Thank you for your time.
