immortal phase bosses

Searing exarch: the fires of a thousand suns
eater of worlds: inescapeable doom sirus: meteor, atomization storms, "GET DOWN FROM UP THERE" (why cant I shoot up without a ramp under my feet?) Labia of dread and loneliness: rose/vine phase??? so unpleasant that i avoid all the memory based bosses. shaper: purple ball phase Maven: memory game Kitava/malachai: "im still waiting to hit again" lightning ball of tentacles of the elder...... Stomach boss of the eater of worlds: by far the worst boss in the game. Please delete. atziri: everything about this boss is awful to play against. but it has the excuse of being extremely dated. All of these zero player BUILD interactions except atziri which has the opposite problem of mandatory build interaction with no player gameplay interaction. In my opinion immortal phases are design cheats that make games worse. In over 100 thousand hours of gaming, i cant think of a single game that was made better by an enemy having spammable immortal phases. Immortal phase mechanics dont need to harm the player to ruin entire builds due to cooldowns and empty flasks being wasted, even if the player dodges everything perfectly they are still at a loss because the mechanic happened. The nerfs to flask charge gain back in expedition league means boss fights only ever have one set of charges, which these immortal phases cheat out of existing. Exarch's incineration is terrifying, well telegraphed, and you CAN choose to damage him during it. Fires of a thousand suns? why cant this mechanic create 4 big suns that fire small suns until destroyed, and failing to destroy them would make more of them if cast again, all while the battle itself continues against the actual boss. Inescapeable doom... why exactly did godslayer, the bane of eldritch horrors, exile suddenly become the maven's minion? This is "The Tangle's primary champion" not The Tangle itself, and yet the exile needs the maven's help to INTERACT at all with this attack. makes no sense, and even if it did, why cant we damage the Eater during it? Labia of dread has some really cool looking attacks, but that rose/vine thing?????? whatever it is its such a horrible experience that i touch the boss once and never again for a league. its so bad i forget the good parts of the boss :( Dodging Shaper's slam is the most rewarding feeling mechanic to dodge in the entire game. I want more boss stuff like that. a clear telegraph of a PREDICTABLE(unlike offscreen sirus from a random angle that can only be learned if you enjoy and spam the boss. oddly sometimes this mechanic feels okay, others the attack happens before the audio queue making it an unfair cheat.) Most players are not Zizaran type masochists, and even those players lose nothing if these bosses had interactable mechanics instead of immortal cheat phases. To summarize: "bullshit immortal phases" are not fun. Please learn from this and never add another immortal phase to anything in the game, and phase out the old ones.
