Input problem with 'League Interface' button on mouse (no toggle but hold funtion)

Hi, havent played poe for two leagues.
Noticed that I now have to HOLD the League Interface key instead of pressing it once as a toggle. For example this is used to place explosives in expeditions or open doors in heist. That is an issue since holding middle mouse while placing things with left clicks feels quite weird.

Exact Problem:
Then:
- press+release middle mouse button (wheel)
- now I can place explosives (expedition) by left clicking
- press+release middle mouse button again to disable exp. placement

Now:
- press+HOLD middle mouse button
- as long as button is HOLD can place exp. by left clicking
- if button is released exp. placement is disabled instantly

In short:
Change from a toggle-funtionality to a hold-funionality

This is still the case for ANY other button on my mouse - button needs to be HOLD
This is NOT the case for ANY key on keyboard - even Numpad works as expected (press+release)

This shit keeps me up at night. Its so frustrating and clunky.
Is there any way to change this?
