Game server lost

I was just fighting the boss Incarnation of Fear and a rare item dropped from it. I picked it up, but immediately after that I was kicked from the game with the message: "Game server lost contact with the realm."

When I logged back in, the item was gone and I had also lost the entry for the boss fight.

Is there any chance of compensation? I’m very disappointed because this item doesn’t drop very often and it took me quite a while to gather the resources to do this boss.
