Make itemized areas like Chronicle of Atzoatl accessible from start

I like the new Atlas as far as I can tell from my early map progression. Could be a little more intuitive at the beginning.

Anyway, for my suggestion - I always do the Alva missions (often doing the last mission in a Tier 1 or 2 map) during campaign and itemize the temple.
I was trying to figure out how to use that item in the new Map Device / Atlas but only found out with help that I have to progress the Atlas first to be able to.

This seems a little confusing and needing to explore your Atlas until finding the node, makes the lower level map items of this type of content pretty much redundant - it was a good way to find some early gear, maybe currency, but most importantly XP!
So, that said, I have no idea how opening the temple without itemizing it works.
