Transfigured Gem Craft (Divine Font)

Not sure if im EXTREMELY unlucky or what, but ive ran about 50 (25 normal, 25 merc) labs and havent got the craft once to change a transfigured gem to the once i choose. i keep getting the random gem of the same color. Is this a bug or like i said, am i just super unlucky? i feel like im stuck in a time loop.
