Poe 1 fortify....

putting fortify on melee only, forces all players to go melee.

This is awful.

All the wanders and spellcasters are melee.

Aren't you a bit late with this, it's years old change

They intentional changed it because it was imbalanced in power for spell characters than don't need to be in combat to do damage.

Probably fair to say, what's the differences if a slam build can AOE the whole screen.

A bigger problem is they made it less reliable on uptime in HC for low dps builds and non-phys/ailment builds, that aren't champion.

The change was correct, but the implementation was not the best in my opinion. It is better than vigilant strike meta of spell caster being able to/needing to, run in and tap a mob with an attack, that makes their defensive ability get a huge buff.
