Broken faith & brass dome ascendancy build ideas?
|
Hey! I wanted to do a melee chaos build, and I saw the new brass dome ascendancy passive.
With broken faith we can have unholy might on at all times. I've never scaled chaos damage on a melee character before, what are some ways to get the damage into endgame? What skills do you think would fit a character like this? Thanks! Last bumped on Mar 2, 2026, 4:34:57 PM

Check out Replica Alberon's Warpath, it's a straightforward way to scale chaos attack damage by stacking strength.
Since you end up getting most of your flat damage from a non-weapon slot, it gives you room to repurpose your weapon slot. I used this to good effect back when they reworked gladiator and Unholy Might; see my character "lemonfly" if you want ideas: Overhwelming Malice is a good alternative source of Unholy Might if you have crit. It's a medium cluster notable. Dual Strike of Ambidexterity also has a satisfying "old school" melee feel to it if you're into that and paired well for me with this setup -- max block on dual wield with Gladiator. Quick and Deadly, another cluster notable, provides insane scaling for that specific skill and you can stack it. You can go further with damage if you use Crown of Eyes at the cost of survivability. Damage without it was good enough for me to farm rogue exiles on HC (mostly due to lucky block and progenesis!) |

Actually, now that I look at the weapon, what started the whole idea was the runecraft which is no longer in the game: "chaos damage with hits is lucky". Alberon's gives you a wide range, 1-80 IIRC, which is almost like lightning damage; not having a lucky roll will feel very bad. There are other sources for lucky, though. Maybe the timeless jewel (dance with death?).
Not sure, but something to keep in mind. |
