Ignite with shaper of flames with 100% conversion to chaos build?

hello Exiled!

i'm lost in all i can found on web rn and i try to understand this for next league plz:

if i take Shaper of flame, and a 100% conversion to chaos damage for example, will my hits ignites?

some say yes but others say ignites HAVE to has at least a portion of fire damage?

Yes, ignite will still deal fire damage though.

If the only damage you deal with hits is chaos damage, monsters that are immune to chaos (from expedition) wouldn't be able to be ignited. Because to be ignited a target must take at least 1 damage (of a damage type that is eligible to ignite) from the inflicting hit.

ok nice! and yes maybe i'll try Blackflame too. Ok for chaos immune mods, i'll avoid those then

not sure yet what will be my build (i use to be a profane bloom addict) but i want to try something with fire trap gem and chaos damage, shaper of flame, herald of ashe, conv to chaos, maybe blackflame, and profane bloom jewels (i'm still searching a fun big hit chaos or fire spell)
