3.28 Map tabs

So with the changes to maps announced in 3.28, i was curious if anyone has an idea how the map tab will be affected? will we finally be able to have like 1000 maps of each tier? maybe more? that would be awesome!

Also can we get clarrification to what will happen to maps in std?

Would really like clarification on existing maps in std as well

I'm assuming for existing maps they will be converted to one of these malleable versions of the same tier, similar to POE2, and that there would be enough room in the tabs to store are much total as currently can be stored across the differing map types.

Just assumptions though, I didn't notice anything specific about it in the notes.
